Tips and Information about Squadron Realistic Battles(SRB):

  • Squadron Realistic Battles are often referred to as “SRB” or “Squibs”.

  • SRB is an 8 vs. 8 mode between two squadrons queuing in SRB and being randomly matched.

  • Both squadrons are allowed to take out any combination of aircraft and tanks.

  • Winning and losing games are the primary ways to gain and lose points.

  • The more points you gain, the slower your point gain becomes and the bigger the consequences are when losing. It is best to use an alternate account or stop playing when you reach 1500+ points, unless you are playing with a highly skilled team.

  • Although lightly armored tanks perform amazing in random battles, lightly armored vehicles in SRB can easily be preyed on by enemy aircraft at the beginning of the game.

  • Turn fighters with a good bomb load are typically the best to use in SRB, as the battles are fast-paced and do not usually allow enough time to climb and build energy.

  • While playing aircraft, it is best to take a belt of ammunition that has an equal mixture of AP and HE or Incendiary rounds so you can both attack enemy aircraft and strafe out lightly armored vehicles from above.

  • Callouts are essential to victory in SRB. As an aircraft, be sure to call out enemy tank positions for your friendly tanks and mark out enemies by strafing them. As a tanker, be sure to call out enemy tanks for friendly fighters to attack. Be sure to call out high flying and incoming aircraft as well. Call out critically damaged vehicles for allies. You can never have too much information. Information and teamwork are the keys to success in SRB!

  • This is not nearly everything about SRB, but these are some great bits of information to get you started and ready to play!
